Responsibilities

  • Review Project Work Orders with the Estimator and Project Manager.
  • Work as a member of the painting crew to maximize efficiency and complete projects on time.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety practices are followed.
  • Prepare areas and surfaces for application of materials.
  • Maintain the project site in a clean and organized manner.
  • Complete all items to a satisfactory Level 3 Finish aligned with PCA Standards.
  • Prepare area(s) to be painted by cleaning, scraping, sanding, pressure washing, patching, and masking of adjacent surfaces.
  • Maintain inventory of paint, paint brushes, and other painting supplies.
  • Paint areas as instructed, utilizing appropriate finishes and applications.
  • Follow OSHA/MSDS guidelines with respect to use of hazardous chemicals and proper ventilation.
  • Familiarize yourself with storage and disposal laws, regulations, and codes.
  • Thoroughly clean area, supplies, and equipment when a project is completed.
  • Put remaining paint and supplies in the proper location.
  • Assist with special maintenance or marketing projects as needed.
