About The Position
Experienced painters apply the final topcoat to service trucks and paint or touch up metal parts and finished products. They help provide the finishing touches to IMT products.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience painting automotive or heavy vehicle equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to use a power washer and caulk gun.
- 2–3 years of experience priming and painting.
- Previous paint experience with plural component products.
Responsibilities
- Prime, paint, and touch up vehicles using power spray equipment and brushes.
- Mask vehicles according to specifications.
- Sand, wash, and condition parts as needed.
- Maintain and set up paint equipment as instructed by a supervisor.
- Perform some light assembly, cleaning, and repairs.
- Transport products from the paint area to the next assembly area.
