About The Position
Experienced painters apply the final topcoat to service trucks and are responsible for painting and touching up painted metal parts and/or finished products. The role is part of IMT’s paint department, which provides the finishing touches to its products.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience painting automotive or heavy vehicle equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Strong mathematical skills.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to use a power washer and caulk gun.
- 2–3 years of experience priming and painting.
- Previous paint experience with plural component products.
- High school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities
- Prime, paint, and touch up vehicles using power spray equipment and brushes.
- Mask vehicles according to specifications.
- Sand, wash, and condition parts as needed.
- Maintain and set up paint equipment as instructed by the supervisor.
- Perform some light assembly, cleaning, and repairs.
- Transport products from the paint area to the next assembly area.
