About The Position

The Paint Mixer prepares customer paint orders by tinting paint bases to the selected colors. The shift begins with preparing the tint machine, checking the assigned workload, and retrieving paint bases from the warehouse using an electric pallet jack. The Paint Mixer follows formulas on a computer, verifies the resulting colors, returns products to pallets, completes paperwork including printing the bill of lading (BOL), wraps the pallets, and moves them to the designated shipment-preparation location. The role requires color vision, careful attention to quality, the ability to follow work orders, and comfort with repetitive, fast-paced tasks. Team members are expected to maintain excellent attendance and follow safety practices, including wearing safety glasses while tinting.

Requirements

• Ability to see color and notice minor color differences.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and formulas.

• Ability to remain on your feet for the entire shift.
• Ability to lift individual paint cans or cases of four cans weighing up to 75 pounds several times a day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the tint machine for use and check the assigned workload.
• Use an electric pallet jack to retrieve paint bases from the warehouse.
• Follow computer-based formulas and work orders to tint paint for customer orders.
• Verify that tinted colors match the requested colors.
• Return products to pallets, complete paperwork including printing the BOL, and wrap pallets.
• Move completed pallets to the designated location for shipment preparation.
• Follow safety practices, including wearing safety glasses while tinting.
