About The Position

The Paint Mixer (also referred to as a Tinter) prepares customer paint orders by following computer-generated formulas and work orders to achieve the selected colors. The role involves preparing and operating a tint machine, retrieving paint bases from the warehouse with an electric pallet jack, tinting and checking product colors, completing shipping paperwork, wrapping pallets, and moving finished orders to the designated shipping location. Success requires color vision, attention to quality, comfort with repetitive fast-paced work, self-motivation, reliable attendance, and a commitment to safety.

Requirements

• Ability to see color and notice minor color differences.
• Ability to read and follow work orders.
• Excellent attendance.
• Commitment to safety.
• Must wear safety glasses while tinting.
• Physical ability to stand for the entire shift and lift paint cans or cases weighing up to 75 pounds several times per day.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the tint machine is ready for use at the start of the shift.
• Log in to review assigned workload.
• Use an electric pallet jack to pull paint bases from the warehouse.
• Follow computer formulas and work orders to tint paint for customer orders.
• Verify that finished colors match the requested colors.
• Return products to pallets, complete paperwork including printing the bill of lading (BOL), and wrap pallets.
• Move completed pallets to the designated location for shipment.
