About The Position

The Paint Mixer (Tinter) prepares paint orders to match customers’ selected colors. The role involves preparing and operating a tint machine, checking assigned workloads, retrieving paint bases from the warehouse, following computer-based formulas, verifying finished colors, and preparing completed orders for shipment. The position requires sustained attention to quality and safety while completing repetitive, fast-paced tasks. The employee is on their feet for the entire shift and periodically lifts paint cans or cases weighing up to 75 pounds.

Requirements

• Ability to see color and notice minor color differences.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and formulas.
• Excellent attendance.
• Commitment to safety, including wearing safety glasses while tinting.
• Ability to perform repetitive, fast-paced tasks while maintaining quality.
• Ability to remain on your feet for the entire shift.
• Ability to lift individual paint cans or cases of four cans weighing up to 75 pounds several times a day.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Self-motivation and a desire to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the tint machine for use and log in to review assigned workload.
• Use an electric pallet jack to retrieve paint bases from the warehouse.
• Follow computer-based formulas and work orders to tint paint for assigned orders.
• Verify that finished paint colors match the required colors.
• Return products to pallets, complete paperwork, print the bill of lading (BOL), and wrap pallets.
• Move completed pallets to the designated location for shipment.
