About The Position

Howmet Aerospace is hiring a Paint and Coatings Operator for its second shift at its Tucson, Arizona location. The position operates Vector and Dye Point machines to meet customer requirements and assists with inspection and production processing. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

The role requires regular housekeeping, preparation of daily production reports and forms, and adherence to Howmet’s environmental, health and safety, quality, and other company policies. The position involves standing, walking, overhead reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling totes, and leaning over machines regularly.

Requirements

• Solid interpersonal and communication skills; attention to detail and strong communication are required.
• Able to lift or move up to 30 pounds, as stated in the responsibilities.
• Regularly perform duties involving standing, walking, overhead reaching, lifting 35–40 pounds, pushing and pulling totes, and leaning over machines.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification is required at hire.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Must meet the U.S. person status requirement under ITAR: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or a background working with machinery.
• Hands-on experience using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers, and reading blueprints.
• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Vector and Dye Point machines to meet customer requirements.
• Assist with inspecting components to customer and production specifications.
• Perform housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Prepare daily production reports and forms.
• Assist other operators with processing activities, including counting component weights and moving parts between locations.
• Follow Howmet environmental, health and safety, quality, and other company policies.
