About The Position

Howmet Aerospace is hiring a Paint and Coatings Operator for its Tucson, Arizona location. The role operates Vector and Dye Point machines to meet customer requirements and supports component inspection and other production-processing activities. The position is on the third shift, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The work regularly involves standing, walking, overhead reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling totes, and leaning over machines.

Howmet Aerospace is a global provider of engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries. This position is with Howmet Fastening Systems, which designs and manufactures aerospace and industrial fasteners, latches, fluid fittings, and installation tools.

Requirements

• Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification is required at hire.
• Must meet the U.S. person status requirement under ITAR. Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, reach overhead, lift 35–40 pounds, push and pull totes, and lean over machines.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or a background working with machinery.
• Hands-on experience using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate Vector and Dye Point machines to meet customer requirements.
• Assist with inspecting components against customer and production specifications.
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed on a regular basis.
• Prepare daily production reports and forms.
• Assist other operators with processing activities, including weighing and counting components and moving parts between locations.
• Follow Howmet environmental, health and safety (EH&S), quality, and other company policies.
