About The Position

Howmet Aerospace is hiring a Paint and Coatings Operator for its Tucson, Arizona location. The role operates Vector and Dye Point machines to meet customer requirements and supports inspection and processing of components according to customer and production specifications. The operator also prepares production reports, helps move and count parts, performs housekeeping, and follows company environmental, health and safety and quality policies.

The position is on the third shift, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. It requires regular standing, walking, overhead reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling totes, and leaning over machines. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States and meet ITAR U.S. person status requirements; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Requirements

• Solid interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification is required at hire.
• Must meet ITAR U.S. person status requirements: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee.
• Ability to perform duties involving regular standing, walking, overhead reaching, lifting 35–40 pounds, pushing and pulling totes, and leaning over machines.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment or a background working with machinery.
• Hands-on experience using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers, and reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate Vector and Dye Point machines to meet customer requirements.
• Assist with inspecting components according to customer and production specifications.
• Perform housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Prepare daily production reports and forms.
• Assist other operators with processing activities, including counting component weights and moving parts between locations.
• Adhere to Howmet environmental, health and safety, quality, and other company policies.
