About The Position

AWT, a Precision Aviation Group company and a leader in the repair and overhaul of turbine engine components, is seeking a motivated Paint and Coatings Technician. The position involves cleaning, blasting, masking, and manually spraying environmentally friendly coatings, as well as preparing components for coating and ensuring finished components conform to requirements. Auto body or automotive painting experience and mechanical experience are helpful but not required.

Requirements

Must be a highly motivated individual.
Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
Must be available to work full-time, Monday through Friday, with hours ranging from 7:00 to 4:30.
Must pass an FAA/DOT pre-employment drug test and background screen; subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
At least 2 years of related experience in the aviation field or a related field is preferred.
Ability to meet the position's physical demands, including extended sitting or standing, frequent walking, bending and reaching to shoulder level, occasional lifting or moving weights up to 20 pounds, and repetitive hand movement.

Nice To Haves

Automotive painting experience is preferred.
Auto body technician or mechanical experience is a plus but not required.
At least 2 years of related experience in the aviation field or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare components for coating.
Follow established guidelines and instructions to perform job functions.
Use OEM and proprietary design prints to ensure proper outcomes.
Fabricate and modify fixtures, and maintain department equipment.
Measure and examine completed components using manual and electronic devices to verify conformance.
