About The Position

Pete & Gerry's is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Flat Washer to clean and maintain pallets and flats in accordance with hygiene and safety standards. The role supports delivery of high-quality products and the company’s commitments to animal welfare, food safety, and responsible farming. The position is onsite and offers a $1,500 bonus eligibility. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, starting at 6:00 AM, with shifts of up to 12 hours depending on operational needs. Start and end times may vary based on truck arrivals, order fulfillment, machine downtime, or production changes, and schedule flexibility is required.

Requirements

• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to adjust the schedule as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a processing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Turn on and prepare the wash tank at the start of the shift.
• Ensure appropriate tools and supplies are available for cleaning, scraping, and inspecting pallets.
• Inspect pallets as they exit the machine for debris, stickers, glue, and other quality concerns.
• Stack cleaned pallets and label them as required.
• Wrap pallet stacks in preparation for shipment.
• Perform general housekeeping, including cleaning eggs off the floor, organizing materials, and emptying and cleaning waste receptacles.
• Comply with food safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and process-efficiency standards.
