About The Position

The Finishing Packer inspects, bands, and shrink-wraps stacks of finished labels and assembles and packs boxes of finished labels for shipment. The role meets safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards and works with other departments to support the company’s core strategies. This is an entry-level position intended to provide opportunities to grow into other positions within the company.

The position is based on the first shift. It requires spending a full shift standing, frequent walking, and regularly lifting or moving up to 50 pounds. Work also includes operating a pallet jack and maintaining daily housekeeping, which may include painting and cleaning the facility’s interior and exterior.

Requirements

• Able to spend a full shift standing.
• Positive attitude.
• Able to meet the physical demands of standing; using hands to feel and touch; reaching with arms and hands; and talking and hearing.
• Able to walk frequently.
• Able to occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished labels to ensure quality.
• Band and shrink-wrap stacks of finished labels.
• Assemble corrugated boxes or trays.
• Pack finished labels in boxes for shipment.
• Stack boxes on a pallet for shipment.
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Operate a pallet jack.
• Comply with established facility safety policies and procedures, work instructions, and applicable regulations, including ISO, GMA SAFE, and HACCP.
• Interact and behave professionally, treat associates respectfully, and follow the company’s code of ethics.
• Maintain daily housekeeping, which may include painting and cleaning the facility interior and exterior.
• Travel as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
