About The Position

The Packer inspects, bands, and shrink-wraps stacks of finished labels and assembles and packs boxes of finished labels. The role is responsible for meeting safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards and interacting with other departments to support the company’s strategies. This is an entry-level position intended to provide opportunities to grow into other roles within the company.

Requirements

• Able to stand for a full shift.
• Positive attitude.
• Able to perform work involving standing, using hands to feel and touch, reaching with arms and hands, and talking and hearing.
• Able to walk frequently.
• Able to occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished labels to ensure quality.
• Band and shrink-wrap stacks of finished labels.
• Assemble corrugated boxes or trays.
• Pack finished labels in boxes for shipment.
• Stack boxes on pallets for shipment.
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Operate a pallet jack.
• Comply with facility safety policies and procedures, work instructions, and applicable regulations, including ISO, GMA SAFE, and HACCP.
• Interact professionally and treat associates respectfully while adhering to the company’s code of ethics.
• Maintain daily housekeeping, which may include painting and cleaning the facility’s interior and exterior.
• Travel as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
