About The Position

The Packer inspects, bands, and shrink-wraps stacks of finished labels and assembles and packs boxes of finished labels. The role meets safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards and interacts with other departments to support the company’s core strategies. This is an entry-level position intended to grow into other roles within the company.

Requirements

• Able to spend a full shift standing.
• Positive attitude.
• Able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Physical demands include standing; using hands to feel and touch; reaching with arms and hands; and talking and hearing.
• Frequent walking is required.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished labels to ensure quality.
• Band and shrink-wrap stacks of finished labels.
• Assemble corrugated boxes or trays.
• Pack finished labels in boxes for shipment.
• Stack boxes on a pallet for shipment.
• Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Operate a pallet jack.
• Comply with established facility safety policies and procedures, work instructions, and applicable regulations, including ISO, GMA SAFE, and HACCP.
• Interact and behave professionally, treating associates respectfully and professionally while maintaining the company’s code of ethics.
• Maintain daily housekeeping, which may include painting and cleaning the facility, inside and outside.
• Travel as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
