About The Position

Seal & Design is a family-owned company founded and headquartered in Clarence, New York, with five divisions across the U.S. and Canada. The company makes gaskets, O-rings, seals, molded rubber and plastics, die-cut foams, and other products for sealing applications across industries including automotive, medical, military and defense, aerospace, electronics, power generation, hydraulics, and HVAC. The Packaging Material Handler supports production by locating, pulling, returning, and stocking materials; maintaining inventory records; and keeping the work area organized. The role operates material-handling equipment safely and is cross-trained in Clean & Pack responsibilities to provide coverage for paid time off and periods of heavy workload. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay is $22.00–$26.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• One to two years of related experience.
• Proficiency working in a computer-supported environment with business software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow and to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work enthusiastically amid changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time as scheduled and follow the company attendance policy.
• Locate and pull materials for scheduled job setups as directed by the Department Lead.
• Review job cards before pulling materials and report discrepancies to the Lead or Production Planner.
• Return materials to the proper warehouse location after job completion.
• Assist with putting manufactured and resale parts and materials into stock.
• Perform cycle counts of stock and non-stock items as directed.
• Record stock transfers and transactions in the ERP system to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Keep materials organized and in proper locations, tighten up space as needed, and complete other housekeeping activities.
• Cross-train in Clean & Pack responsibilities to cover PTO and heavy workloads.
• Operate material-handling equipment safely and efficiently and observe other safety and security procedures.
