About The Position

Seal & Design is a family-owned company founded and headquartered in Clarence, NY, with five divisions across the U.S. and Canada. The company makes gaskets, o-rings, seals, molded rubber and plastics, die-cut foams, and other products for sealing applications across industries including automotive, medical, military and defense, aerospace, electronics, power generation, hydraulics, and HVAC. The Packaging Material Handler locates and pulls materials for scheduled jobs, maintains accurate inventory records, returns and stocks materials, and keeps materials organized. The role also provides cross-trained Clean & Pack coverage. The position works first shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, at a pay rate of $22.00–$26.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma.
One to two years of related experience.
Proficiency working in a computer-supported environment with business software.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Basic math skills.
Ability to manage priorities and workflow and multitask.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work enthusiastically within changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Arrive to work on time as scheduled and follow the company attendance policy.
Locate and pull materials for job setups as directed by the Department Lead.
Review job cards before pulling materials and notify the Lead or Production Planner of discrepancies.
Return materials to the proper warehouse location after job completion.
Assist with putting away manufactured and resale parts and materials for stock.
Perform cycle counts of stock and non-stock items as directed.
Record stock transfers and transactions in the ERP system to maintain inventory accuracy.
Complete housekeeping activities, including organizing materials, keeping them in proper locations, and tightening up space as needed.
Cross-train in Clean & Pack responsibilities to provide coverage for PTO and heavy workload.
Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently and observe other safety and security procedures.
