About The Position

Barrett Petfood is hiring a full-time LF Packaging Material Handler to work onsite in Little Falls, Minnesota. The position supports packaging and warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment, handling bulk product and finished pallets while following quality, inventory, and safety procedures. Pay is $19.50–$23.00 per hour, with a $3.00 shift differential for third shift. Available schedules are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. or 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m. The role includes using the Plex ERP system to locate bulk product and enter product information, inspecting and scanning product, hanging bulk product on the packaging line, and coordinating with packaging operators. Other duties include maintaining FIFO, screening kibble as needed, conducting forklift inspections, wrapping and moving finished pallets, staging shipments, and checking order accuracy. The role involves physical work in a manufacturing facility, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working at elevated areas and in varying environmental conditions. Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the manufacturing facility.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, reach, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, and perform other physical activities required in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to routinely and safely climb and descend stairs and ladders, including to access elevated work areas and equipment.
Ability to safely operate or work from a scissor lift to access elevated equipment and production areas for inspection, verification, and environmental or sanitation sampling.
Ability to maintain balance and stability on elevated platforms, stairs, ladders, and uneven or wet surfaces, as applicable.
Ability to work in varying conditions, including areas that may be hot, cold, wet, humid, noisy, or subject to temperature fluctuations.

Responsibilities

Use Barrett’s Plex ERP system to locate bulk product.
Inspect bulk product before moving it to help ensure quality.
Scan bulk product onto the packaging line where it will be hung.
Safely hang 2,000-pound bulk product on the packaging line and notify the packaging operator.
Weigh bulk product that was not packaged into smaller bags and report it to the packaging operator.
Ensure FIFO (first in, first out).
Enter product information and print pallet labels in Plex.
Screen kibble as necessary.
Conduct daily forklift inspections and complete the associated paperwork.
Wrap and transport finished pallets to the warehouse and stage them for shipping.
Count and check orders as they are packaged for accuracy.
