About The Position

The Material Handler supports the production floor by moving raw materials, finished goods, dunnage, and scrap so production cells have the materials and supplies they need and avoid downtime. The role also helps keep the warehouse neat and orderly, maximizes loads, minimizes unnecessary material movement, and follows safety and quality procedures. The employee may be asked to perform other job-related tasks and responsibilities as requested by the Plant Manager or General Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Basic mathematical and writing skills.
Able to obtain certification for forklift driving.
Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Able to follow safety and quality policies and procedures.
Able to operate equipment safely in a manufacturing environment.
Organized and neat.

Responsibilities

Move dunnage containers to and from work cells.
Dump scrap hoppers.
Move raw material to work cells.
Move finished goods to the proper location.
Keep the warehouse neat and orderly.
Maximize loads and minimize wasteful movements of material.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Comply with all safety procedures and follow safety and quality policies and procedures.
Complete fork truck check sheets daily.
Operate equipment safely in a manufacturing environment.
