About The Position

Golden Pet Manufacturing is hiring a Material Handler for first shift in packaging. The role moves materials and products throughout the manufacturing plant, including raw materials to the production floor and finished goods to packaged storage. The position pays $22+ per hour. Preferred qualifications are not required, and applicants are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every preference.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Prior material handling experience and experience operating powered industrial vehicles.
• Strong teamwork mentality and eagerness to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in combos/vats according to a predetermined sequence.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials and distribute them to production areas.
• Record the quantities of materials or items received or distributed.
• Operate a forklift and automation system to move products throughout the manufacturing plant.
• Clean and maintain equipment, tooling, and the workspace.
• Protect employee and company safety and security by reporting and stopping occurrences such as product or property damage, theft, product tampering, or questionable behavior.
• Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
