Material Handler - 1st Shift

About The Position

GXO is seeking a Material Handler to support supply chain operations by moving materials and inventory throughout a facility and helping deliver service to customers. The role involves using material-handling equipment, completing product-related tasks, verifying and labeling orders, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The schedule is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Applicants who receive a conditional offer may be required to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be able to perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
Be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents.
Be able to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds.
Be able to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods.
Be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.
Be able to handle or manage tools or equipment.
Be able to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in a warehouse environment.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed.
Experience using a handheld scanner.
A positive attitude and ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

Move material and inventory throughout the facility to support operations.
Use hand trucks, conveyors, or other material-handling equipment.
Perform duties that may include packing, scanning, kitting, or counting products.
Verify orders, label products, and use a handheld scanner.
Adhere to the 7S program.
Maintain a clean environment at all times.
Work safely to protect yourself and team members.
