About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a part-time Package Handler for its Springfield, Ohio distribution center. The role involves physical, fast-paced work supporting order processing and delivery. Package Handlers move, scan, and organize packages throughout their shifts in a multi-temperature warehouse handling fresh, dry, and frozen products. The job requires regularly lifting up to 100 pounds and being on your feet for the duration of the shift. No prior experience is required; a dedicated training team provides instruction on working safely and efficiently.

The available second-shift schedule starts at 7:30 PM and runs until finish, on Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Shifts vary daily based on work volume. Starting pay is $20.13 per hour, with a $1.00-per-hour second-shift premium, a weekly attendance bonus subject to eligibility, and performance incentives. Pay is weekly.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be available to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Be comfortable working in extremely cold or hot conditions.
• Read, write, and communicate effectively in English to use labels, pick lists, scanners, and safety signs.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• Regularly lift up to 100 pounds and remain on your feet for the duration of the shift.

• Prior warehouse experience is a plus, but is not required.
