About The Position

Spee Dee Delivery is a family-owned and operated company founded in 1978. Its core business is standard, next-day, ground delivery, and its corporate headquarters and main sort facility are in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The company employs over 1,800 people and operates throughout the Midwest. The Part-Time Package Handler loads, unloads, and sorts freight accurately and promptly to support quick delivery. Available shifts are Monday through Friday starting at 3:00 PM or Tuesday through Saturday starting at 5:00 AM. Pay is $19.00–$24.25 per hour, based on experience; starting pay is determined by relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity. The position is part-time, nonexempt, and Pay Grade A. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and able to pass a criminal background check. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. The role requires physical freight handling, including lifting up to 75 pounds, and may involve handling hazardous materials, perishable food, alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles.
Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking.
Sort packages by zip code, city, or state.
Stack freight into trailers and routes to prevent damage and use space efficiently.
Wash fleet vehicles as needed to maintain the company image.
Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
