Overnight Stock Clerk Part Time
About The Position
BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring a part-time Overnight Stock Clerk to stock, rotate, and store general merchandise and/or food; keep merchandise fully stocked and clearly labeled; and help maintain a neat, clean, and organized club. The role includes applying merchandise sales tags, maintaining display signage, handling damaged or spoiled products according to company policies, and performing housekeeping duties such as removing trash and cardboard. Team members may be assigned other duties or work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job. The position emphasizes member service, safe and positive experiences, teamwork, inclusion, integrity, accountability, and maintaining club standards. This includes greeting members, addressing concerns, keeping items stocked and promotional plans executed, maintaining accurate signage, and ensuring the club is clean and organized.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Continuously lift objects up to 50 pounds; lifting and moving objects over 50 pounds may be required with assistance.
- Frequently bend, climb, crawl, handle, pull, reach, stoop, and position oneself to examine or scan merchandise.
Nice To Haves
- Previous grocery or stock experience preferred.
- Big-box or wholesale retail experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Stock, rotate, and store general merchandise and/or food, ensuring merchandise is fully stocked.
- Maintain product display signage and create or apply labels and merchandise sales tags; keep labels and price tags clear and visible.
- Handle damaged goods and spoiled products in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Keep the club neat, clean, and organized, including removing trash and cardboard.
- Maintain club policies and procedures and support their application and compliance.
- Deliver service excellence, address and de-escalate member concerns, and help ensure a safe, positive member experience.
- Work with the team to meet daily club standards, including stocking items, executing promotional plans, maintaining accurate signage, and keeping the club clean and organized.
- Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
