About The Position

The Overnight Produce Clerk sorts, displays, removes, and replenishes fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department. The role maintains the department’s environment and supports members with product knowledge and customer service while ensuring produce meets or exceeds company quality standards. The clerk also maintains produce displays, back stock, equipment, and signage in accordance with club policies and procedures. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in the produce department by answering questions, recommending products and safe handling tips, and helping members find products throughout the club.
• Inspect, rotate, and store produce upon delivery, ensuring received produce meets or exceeds company standards.
• Rotate produce on the sales floor to maintain freshness and variety; keep cases and displays fully stocked, neat, and clean; and remove products no longer suitable for sale.
• Maintain the produce reserve stock area by dating and rotating back stock and organizing and condensing the storage area daily.
• Follow established guidelines when disposing of damaged, spoiled, or expired products.
• Assist the Fresh Manager with inventory and order processing as needed.
• Clean and sanitize produce equipment, display fixtures, and areas, including the produce cooler and refrigerated display cases.
• Generate signage for produce goods and perform price checks as needed; ensure items are accurately priced and signed.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Support a safe, positive, inclusive, and collaborative environment and deliver member service in accordance with GOLD Member and club standards.
