About The Position

The Overnight Front Desk Associate provides a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests while ensuring an exceptional Judgement Free member experience. The role includes welcoming people into the club, assisting with membership and retail needs, supporting members on the club floor, and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning facility. Team members are expected to contribute to a safe and healthy workplace by following applicable policies and protocols, reporting unsafe conditions or at-risk behaviors to leadership, and working safely.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Willingness to become CPR/AED certified; training is provided by Planet Fitness.
Basic computer proficiency.
Able to stand and move throughout the club continually during the shift.
Able to communicate continually in person or by phone during the shift.
Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Able to encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.
Able to clean and sanitize equipment and facilities frequently.
Able to bend, twist, and move into different positions to accomplish tasks.

Nice To Haves

6–12 months of experience in a customer service environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet members and guests as they enter and exit the club and assist with questions or concerns during check-in.
Connect with members on the club floor, offer assistance, support their fitness journeys, and uphold club policies.
Resolve member concerns and escalate them to a Manager as needed.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with inquiries.
Perform membership functions, including sign-ups, contact and billing information updates, cancellations, collection of unpaid balances, and membership transfers.
Make prospective-member calls and conduct tours, assessing prospective members’ needs.
Complete retail transactions accurately and drive sales goals.
Clean and sanitize exercise equipment, Black Card spa amenities, communal spaces, and assigned areas regularly.
Keep restrooms clean, sanitized, stocked, and clutter-free by following the routine cleaning schedule.
Frequently walk all club areas and promptly address safety, policy, and cleanliness issues.
Promptly address maintenance and facility concerns, including broken or missing equipment and fixtures.
Follow applicable health and safety policies and protocols, report unsafe conditions or at-risk behaviors to leadership, and conduct work safely.
