About The Position

The Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) creates a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. The role is also responsible for closing the day’s shift and preparing an accurate bank deposit for the next day. This position works overnight (third shift) and involves front-desk activities, member support, and helping maintain the club’s cleanliness. Compensation is $14.00 per hour. Employees at franchise locations are employed by the franchisee, not PFHQ.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Basic computer proficiency.
Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and coworkers.
Ability to listen, empathize, and problem-solve.
Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and use appropriate behavior and language.
Punctuality and reliability.
Ability to work third shift (overnights).
Ability to stand and walk continually during the shift.
Ability to talk continually in person or on the phone during the shift.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
May occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Responsibilities

Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
Handle front-desk activities, including answering phones and assisting callers with questions.
Check members into the system.
Sign up new members.
Take prospective members on tours.
Facilitate updates to members’ accounts.
Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner, escalating issues to the Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
Close the shift for that business day.
Create a bank deposit for the next day.
