About The Position

As the Overnight Cleaner, you are responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the facility to ensure an outstanding member experience. Cleanliness is critical to the Planet Fitness brand and to the safety of team members and members. The role may also include greeting members and guests, answering phones, executing retail transactions, resolving member concerns, and monitoring club areas for safety and cleanliness issues. Requirements

Ability to work the overnight shift.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Willingness to become CPR/AED Certified; training is provided by Planet Fitness.
Basic computer proficiency.
Positive, upbeat attitude and genuine desire to help others.
Punctual, reliable, and dependable.
Takes pride in work and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
Pays attention to detail and is committed to doing the job correctly.

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to stand and move continually throughout the club during the shift.
Ability to communicate continually in person or by phone during the shift.
Ability to bend and twist and move into different positions to accomplish tasks.
Able to encounter toxic chemicals during the shift.

Nice To Haves

Cleaning and sanitizing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean and sanitize common areas, including restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the Black Card Spa, according to Planet Fitness cleaning standards.
Vacuum floor surfaces and operate the floor scrubber machine according to the established schedule.
Dispose of trash properly and maintain trash cans and cleaning centers.
Replenish supplies and paper products as needed.
Communicate inventory needs to the Club Manager.
Clean and dust items high off the ground, such as ceiling fans, TVs, and rafters.
Report broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.
Operate the washing machine and dryer.
Maintain cleaning equipment, including cleaning the mop bucket and emptying vacuum bags.
Greet members and guests as they enter and exit the club, and assist with questions or concerns during check-in.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with inquiries.
Execute retail transactions accurately and drive sales goals.
Resolve member concerns and escalate them to a Manager as needed.
Frequently conduct comprehensive walks of club areas, promptly address safety or policy issues, and address cleanliness concerns.
Follow applicable health and safety policies and protocols, report unsafe conditions or at-risk behaviors to leadership, and conduct work safely.
