About The Position

The Overnight Cleaner is responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the Planet Fitness facility, helping ensure an outstanding member experience and a safe environment for members and team members. The role includes cleaning and maintaining facility areas and equipment, replenishing supplies, reporting maintenance needs, and handling some member-service and club operations duties. The position requires the ability to work overnight. Cleaning and sanitizing experience is preferred; CPR/AED certification training is provided by Planet Fitness.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to work the overnight shift.
Willingness to become CPR/AED certified; training is provided by Planet Fitness.
Basic computer proficiency.

Able to frequently clean and sanitize equipment and facilities, and bend and twist to complete tasks.

Cleaning and sanitizing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean and sanitize common areas, including restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment and the Black Card Spa, according to Planet Fitness cleaning standards.
Vacuum floors and operate the floor scrubber according to the established schedule.
Dispose of trash properly and maintain trash cans and cleaning centers.
Replenish supplies and paper products as needed and communicate inventory needs to the Club Manager.
Clean and dust items above ground level, such as ceiling fans, TVs and rafters.
Report broken or missing amenities and equipment to the Club Manager.
Operate the washing machine and dryer.
Maintain cleaning equipment, including cleaning the mop bucket and emptying vacuum bags.
Greet members and guests as they enter and exit; assist with questions or concerns during check-in.
Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with inquiries.
Execute retail transactions accurately and drive sales goals.
Resolve member concerns and escalate them to a Manager as needed.
Frequently walk all club areas, promptly correct safety or policy issues, and address cleanliness concerns.
Follow applicable health and safety policies and protocols, report unsafe conditions or at-risk behaviors to leadership, and work safely.
