About The Position

Interim HealthCare is hiring a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver in Floyd County, Georgia, to provide personalized, home-based care for seniors. The position offers schedule flexibility, one-to-one aide-to-client ratios, and online training with opportunities to earn continuing education units. The listed pay is $13.00 per hour. The caregiver supports clients in living safely at home by assisting with personal care and daily activities, providing companionship, and helping maintain a safe home environment. The role also includes observing and documenting client conditions and communicating concerns to a supervisor.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Personal Care Assistant Certificate in Georgia; Interim can assist with obtaining the certificate.
Current hands-on CPR and First Aid certification.
Current TB screening within the past 12 months.
Valid Georgia driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable personal transportation.
Compassionate and helpful nature, good communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

One year of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
Help clients with ambulation, transferring, and range-of-motion exercises.
Provide medication reminders, document client conditions, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
Help ensure a safe home environment by keeping pathways unobstructed.
Participate in activities clients enjoy, such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
