About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver to provide client-centered, home-based care to seniors in Floyd County, Georgia. The role offers schedule flexibility and work-life balance, with one-to-one aide-to-client ratios. Caregivers support clients in living safely at home by assisting with daily activities, mobility, medication reminders, companionship, and maintaining a safe home environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Personal Care Assistant Certificate in Georgia; Interim HealthCare can assist with obtaining the certificate.
- Current hands-on CPR and First Aid certification.
- Current TB screening within the past 12 months.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable personal transportation.
- Compassionate, helpful nature and good communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in a healthcare role is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to help seniors live safely at home.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
- Help with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Provide medication reminders, document clients’ condition, and notify a supervisor of concerns.
- Maintain a safe home environment, including keeping pathways unobstructed.
- Engage clients in enjoyable activities such as puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
