About The Position

This is an entry-level, non-skilled general labor position in the Sanitation department. The role is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Assignments may be in any Sanitation department. The schedule is Monday through Friday and/or Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Candidates who previously worked for Tyson are subject to a 180-day rehire waiting period and a three-time limit. The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Some positions require the ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Must be able to work in extreme hot, cold, humid, and wet environments.
• Must be able to use hands and arms above shoulder level.
• Must be able to stand or walk for 8–10 hours per day.
• Must be able to climb stairs to and from work areas.
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general sanitation labor in any department of Sanitation.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Adhere to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Use bleach and other cleaning chemicals as part of the sanitation process.
