About The Position

Responsible for the safe and efficient cleaning and maintenance of the division building and related property. The role helps maintain the warehouse, facility grounds, and other areas to required cleanliness and food-safety standards. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. The expected base rate is $18.00 per hour; overtime compensation, shift differential, and freezer premium may also apply.

Requirements

Must be able to read and communicate in English, including holding a conversation, understanding highway traffic signs and signals, responding to official inquiries, and entering information on reports and records.

Nice To Haves

High school education or GED.
Previous custodial and/or sanitation experience.

Responsibilities

Sweep and clean the entire warehouse to maintain the required level of cleanliness.
Empty trash bins, clean the trash area daily, and operate the trash compactor when applicable.
Pull pallets and clean or scrub product bays on a rotating basis.
Clean spills and breakages involving inventoried product, recover damaged product, and determine whether it can be resold or must be disposed of according to government and U.S. Foodservice food-safety requirements.
Perform assigned light maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, collecting recyclable materials, collecting paper and shrink wrap, and checking freezers and coolers for leaks or ice buildup.
Prepare reports and forms documenting cleaning schedules, spills, and product damage; may track and order maintenance supplies.
Clean other warehouse and office areas, including break rooms, restrooms, test kitchens, and offices, as needed.
Maintain facility grounds and dumpster areas.
Operate a scrubber, pallet jack, and high lift when required to perform duties.
