About The Position

Clean and sanitize processing equipment and plant processing areas quickly and efficiently during the relatively short periods between normal production shifts. Help maintain plant readiness for local, state, and other inspections while following sanitation procedures and safety standards. Duties are illustrative, not comprehensive or contractual, and may change at the discretion of Champion Foods LLC.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in sanitation-related work or a similar position in the food industry.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull weights over 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to work flexible shifts.
• Ability to stand, squat, kneel, walk, and perform repetitive motions regularly.
• Ability to push, pull, climb, balance, reach, and lift frequently.
• Ability to pick up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 20°F to 80°F.
• Ability to work with moderate noise while operating commercial cleaning equipment.
• Duties may involve handling garbage and unpleasant odors.

Responsibilities

• Clean all equipment on production lines.
• Clean and sanitize processing facilities and infrastructure.
• Prevent cross-contamination of food-contact surfaces during sanitation procedures.
• Follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
• Work safely with cleaning chemicals.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).
• Maintain plant readiness for local, state, and other inspections.
• Perform seasonal groundskeeping duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
