About The Position

ABC Supply is seeking an enthusiastic sales professional to sell residential and commercial building materials to contractor customers and build relationships with prospective customers in the industry. The role uses exclusive sales tools to support business-to-business selling and offers earning potential through a competitive pay and commission structure. The representative cultivates customer relationships, identifies sales opportunities, develops new business, supports customers with product and service concerns, and assists with credit and payment matters.

Requirements

• A college degree in Business, Sales, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
• Ability to pass an MVR check; vehicle insurance must meet company requirements.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Superior time-management and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Specific industry knowledge, including familiarity with product lines and the building contractor process, is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and manage customer relationships.
• Use sales reports and other data to recognize sales opportunities in customer buying patterns.
• Make cold calls to prospective customers.
• Follow sales leads and schedule appointments with prospective customers.
• Follow up with customers and provide solutions when service concerns arise.
• Train customers and their teams on product lines and services.
• Assist customers with the credit application process.
• Connect with customers to ensure past-due bills are paid and collect payments when necessary.
