About The Position

We are hiring an experienced Outside Sales Representative to generate and close residential and small commercial contractor-service projects. We are specifically looking for a proven hunter who can create opportunities through door knocking, cold outreach, referrals, networking, and local relationship building. This is not an order-taking or appointment-setting position, and success will not depend solely on company-provided leads. The ideal candidate has sold high-ticket services such as solar, roofing, HVAC, home improvement, construction, or related solutions. You must be comfortable meeting customers in their homes or at project sites, presenting proposals, handling objections, and securing signed contracts.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of high-ticket sales experience in solar, roofing, HVAC, home improvement, construction, contractor services, or a similar industry
  • Proven ability to generate your own leads and build a sales pipeline independently
  • Direct experience selling to homeowners or small commercial customers
  • Demonstrated success presenting proposals, overcoming objections, and closing signed agreements
  • Comfortable with door-to-door sales, cold outreach, networking, and referral generation
  • Strong communication, negotiation, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working toward measurable sales and revenue goals
  • Ability to manage multiple active prospects without heavy oversight

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through door-to-door prospecting, cold calling, referrals, networking, and community outreach
  • Conduct in-home and onsite consultations with residential and small commercial customers
  • Assess customer needs and present appropriate services, pricing, financing options, timelines, and contract terms
  • Manage opportunities from initial contact through proposal, follow-up, negotiation, and signed agreement
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM records
  • Coordinate with estimating, operations, and project teams to ensure a smooth handoff after the sale
  • Build repeat and referral business through strong communication and customer follow-through
