The program includes daily breathalyzer monitoring, remote drug testing, and recovery groups. It serves as a step-down from treatment, an alongside support for other programs, or a first step for individuals seeking a different relationship with substances. Founded by individuals in recovery, Accountable has served over 10,000 members and is expanding its coverage across payer segments.

Requirements

  • Based in Florida with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • 5+ years of business development or outreach experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, post-acute care, or healthcare services.
  • Experience managing or formally mentoring field outreach or sales staff, and holding them accountable to numbers.
  • Established referral relationships in Florida's behavioral health community, or a demonstrated ability to build them quickly.
  • Understanding of Florida's diverse regional referral cultures (Panhandle, Miami-Dade, treatment corridor, Gulf Coast, North Florida).
  • Experience generating referral demand for services paid through various channels, including private pay.
  • Discipline in CRM and pipeline hygiene for self and managed team.
  • Comfortable managing a hybrid remote and in-person work rhythm.
  • Ability to present effectively in various settings (in-services, panels, conference talks).
  • Ability to receive and give feedback constructively.
  • Comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders (treatment center CEOs, hospital social workers, parents).
  • Understanding of what a discharge planner's day looks like.

Responsibilities

  • Run referral growth for Florida, managing a team of field Territory Managers and carrying a book of strategic referral accounts.
  • Own the Florida referral number and report monthly to the Director.
  • Act as a player-coach, mentoring Territory Managers against KPIs, planning team trainings, and managing performance.
  • Carry a personal book of strategic accounts including multi-site treatment groups, health systems, drug courts, and high-value referral relationships.
  • Spend 3-4 days a week in the field for joint calls, key account meetings, and in-services.
  • Own the state's events calendar, identifying trade conferences and regional gatherings, securing speaking slots, and presenting.
  • Adapt the national playbook to Florida's specific market, including treatment-provider maps, county referral patterns, and major market differences.
  • Ensure CRM data quality for the state's territory dashboards.
  • Operate within Accountable’s compliance standards for sales operations.
  • Set an ethical tone, ensuring no referral fees, per-head arrangements, or patient brokering.
  • Synthesize field trends, competitor activities, and recommend strategies to leadership.
  • Hand off plan-level opportunities to the payor sales team.
  • Take over and complete Territory Manager hiring, making final decisions on team members.
  • Pressure-test and finalize the Florida territory model with the Director, including hub markets, drive-time territories, and account universes.
  • Set the operating cadence for the team in the CRM, including activity standards, pipeline hygiene, and weekly review rhythms.
  • Shadow the enrollment and coaching workflow end-to-end to understand the member journey.
