About The Position

Accountable is seeking an Outreach Manager for Pennsylvania to drive referral growth. This role involves leading a team of field Territory Managers, managing key referral accounts, and adapting national strategies to the Pennsylvania market. The company provides virtual support for substance use recovery, including peer coaching, breathalyzer monitoring, and remote drug testing. This is a growth-stage opportunity with significant ownership and visibility.

Requirements

  • Based in Pennsylvania with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • 5+ years of business development or outreach in behavioral health, addiction treatment, post-acute, or healthcare services.
  • Experience managing or formally mentoring field outreach or sales staff, and holding them accountable to performance numbers.
  • Real referral relationships in Pennsylvania's behavioral health community, or the ability to build them quickly.
  • Understanding of Pennsylvania's diverse regional markets (Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Northeast, Central PA).
  • Experience generating referral demand for services paid through various channels, including private pay.
  • Disciplined approach to CRM and pipeline hygiene for self and team.
  • Comfortable managing a hybrid remote and in-person work rhythm.
  • Able and comfortable presenting in various settings (in-services, panels, conference talks).
  • Ability to take feedback well and give it constructively.
  • Ability to be comfortable in diverse settings, from CEOs to social workers to parents.
  • Experience in the Philadelphia or Pittsburgh metro treatment markets, or another dense recovery market (nice to have).
  • Experience opening a new territory from zero and discussing ramp specifics (nice to have).
  • Personal or family recovery experience (valued, never required).

Responsibilities

  • Run referral growth for Pennsylvania.
  • Lead a team of field Territory Managers.
  • Carry a book of the state's most strategic referral accounts.
  • Finalize the Pennsylvania territory model with the Director.
  • Set the operating cadence for the team in the CRM, including activity standards and pipeline hygiene.
  • Own the Pennsylvania referral number and report monthly to the Director.
  • Coach territory managers against their KPIs and manage performance.
  • Be in the field 3-4 days a week for joint calls, key account meetings, and in-services.
  • Own the state's events calendar, including identifying opportunities, securing speaking slots, and presenting.
  • Adapt the national playbook to Pennsylvania's specific market dynamics.
  • Ensure CRM data quality for the state's territory dashboards.
  • Work within compliance standards to ensure compliant sales operations.
  • Set an ethical tone, ensuring no referral fees or per-head arrangements.
  • Synthesize field trends and report up to leadership, including competitor activity and recommendations.
  • Hand off plan-level opportunities to the payor sales team.
