The program is supported by daily breathalyzer monitoring, remote drug testing, and recovery groups. It serves as a step-down from treatment, an ancillary support alongside other clinical programs, or as a first step for individuals seeking a different relationship with alcohol. Founded by individuals in recovery, Accountable has served over 10,000 members and is expanding its coverage across payer segments. This role focuses on driving referral growth for Washington state, a key growth market. The Outreach Manager will lead a team of field Territory Managers, manage strategic referral accounts, and be responsible for the state's referral numbers. The role involves building and refining the referral infrastructure in real-time, including territory management, hiring, and CRM implementation. Accountable is a growth-stage company offering significant ownership and visibility for high performers.

Requirements

  • Based in Washington with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • 5+ years of business development or outreach in behavioral health, addiction treatment, post-acute, or healthcare services.
  • Experience managing or formally mentoring field outreach or sales staff.
  • Proven ability to hold staff accountable to performance numbers.
  • Established referral relationships in Washington's behavioral health community, or a demonstrated ability to build them quickly.
  • Understanding of regional differences within Washington state (Puget Sound, Eastern Washington, Southwest Washington).
  • Experience generating referral demand for services paid through various channels, including private pay.
  • Disciplined approach to CRM and pipeline hygiene for self and team.
  • Comfortable managing a hybrid remote and in-person work environment.
  • Able and comfortable presenting in various settings (in-services, panels, conferences).
  • Ability to receive and give feedback constructively.
  • Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders (treatment center CEOs, social workers, parents).
  • Commitment to ethical sales practices, avoiding referral fees and patient brokering.

Responsibilities

  • Run referral growth for Washington state.
  • Lead a team of field Territory Managers.
  • Manage a personal book of strategic referral accounts.
  • Pressure-test and finalize the Washington territory model.
  • Set the operating cadence for the team in the CRM, including activity standards and pipeline hygiene.
  • Own the Washington referral number and report monthly to the Director.
  • Act as a player-coach, mentoring Territory Managers against KPIs and managing performance.
  • Conduct joint calls with Territory Managers and attend key account meetings.
  • Own the state's events calendar, identifying and participating in trade conferences and regional gatherings.
  • Adapt the national playbook to the Washington market, considering regional differences.
  • Ensure CRM data quality for the state's territory dashboards.
  • Ensure compliant sales operations across the team.
  • Set an ethical tone, avoiding referral fees and per-head arrangements.
  • Synthesize field trends, competitor activity, and recommend strategies.
  • Hand off plan-level opportunities to the payor sales team.
