About The Position

Ohel is seeking a motivated, organized, and relationship-driven Outreach Coordinator to connect individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families with relevant programs and services. This part-time position is 15 hours per week and is based in Teaneck, New Jersey, with occasional travel required for meetings and events. The salary is $35.00 per hour. The position includes a competitive benefits package with a 403B retirement plan with employee contribution, sick and vacation paid time off (PTO), and health insurance. Eligibility for benefits depends on hours worked, employment classification, applicable waiting periods, and plan requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
At least two years of experience in the disabilities field or a related field.
Ability to work independently and as part of a group.
Experience building and maintaining relationships at multiple levels.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Dedicated work ethic.
Excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities

Build partnerships with local organizations to strengthen community connections and expand awareness of Ohel’s programs and services.
Collaborate with families, support coordinators, and Ohel staff to coordinate services and address needs.
Guide families through the enrollment process and assist with completing required paperwork.
Lead community outreach initiatives and organize educational workshops.
Advocate for individuals and families to help them access appropriate services and supports.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Contribute to program development initiatives and identify opportunities to expand outreach and community engagement.
