About The Position

The Outreach Coordinator at Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS) connects families with essential resources and early childhood programs, builds community partnerships, and encourages participation in services that help children and families thrive. The role conducts outreach and family engagement in targeted communities, helps families identify support, recruits volunteers, and contributes to CHS’s mission and a collaborative work environment. The position also requires completing Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) training and certification and implementing the program as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of experience working with children and families.
• Florida Driver’s License within 30 days of hire.
• Daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Creole.

Responsibilities

• Conduct community outreach through door-to-door visits, group presentations, networking, and local events to introduce families to available programs and services.
• Educate families and communities about quality early childhood development and available supporting resources.
• Identify and engage families in targeted communities and encourage participation in early childhood programs and services.
• Build relationships with community organizations, childcare centers, schools, Head Start programs, and other local partners to expand outreach and increase referrals.
• Connect with families to understand their needs, listen to concerns, and identify opportunities for support.
• Recruit and engage community volunteers to strengthen outreach efforts.
• Participate in parent engagement activities at local early childhood sites and community organizations.
• Complete Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) training and certification and implement the program as directed.
• Maintain accurate and timely program documentation, reports, and required records.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and engaging work environment while supporting CHS’s mission and values.
