Outreach and Enrollment Specialist

NATIVE HEALTH•Phoenix, AZ

About The Position

The Outreach and Enrollment Specialist (OES) helps families and children in the community identify, enroll in, and access affordable health insurance through Medicaid/CHIP and the Health Insurance Marketplace. The position conducts most duties in an outreach-oriented setting to help reduce the number of uninsured children. In conjunction with the Outreach and Enrollment Coordinator, the OES recruits schools, community partners, and outreach sites, and helps develop strategies to improve outreach, enrollment, and retention for eligible patients. The specialist promotes NATIVE HEALTH services and insurance options, provides culturally competent educational materials, assists patients with discount program enrollment and fee waivers, and tracks applications and annual renewals. The role also collaborates with other outreach and enrollment programs and assists clients with enrollment or referrals to public health programs, including possible in-home, in-clinic, or community follow-up.
