About The Position

The Outpatient Office Coordinator provides clerical support to the Outpatient Services. The position is responsible for tracking and setting up patients into programs, registering patients, collecting payments, uploading paperwork into facility systems, and providing it to appropriate departments. Follows and abides by company policies, procedures, and Corporate Compliance Program, as applicable to role and responsibilities. Located in Lexington, Kentucky, The Ridge offers a healing environment to reassure patients’ sense of security and confidentiality. Dedicated to excellence, The Ridge is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, as a licensed, 110-bed hospital, providing psychiatric (mental health) and substance use disorder (drug and alcohol rehabilitation) services to children, adolescents and adults. Inpatient care is provided on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week. Outpatient and partial hospitalization services are provided on a five-day per week basis, days and evenings. Care is provided according to an established code of ethical conduct and strict adherence to patient rights.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
  • Previous office experience preferred
  • CPR – training provided upon hire
  • Crisis Intervention - training provided upon hire
  • Requires knowledge of general office and phone skills
  • Excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have legible handwriting.
  • The ability to handle confidential information and to maintain a pleasant and congenial attitude at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares new admission charts, files patient information accurately, and maintains chart order.
  • Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of outpatient schedule and operations; communicates this information to our patients and visitors.
  • Communicate with all departments to ensure proper admission of step downs and new admits.
  • Tracking and setting up patients into programs.
  • Registering patients.
  • Collecting payments.
  • Uploading paperwork into facility systems, and providing it to appropriate departments.
