About The Position

The Outlet Server is responsible for guiding guests through key phases of their Hard Rock Cafe experience. The role combines guest service, communication, decision-making, entertainment, product knowledge, and sales. The Server takes orders, runs food, processes payments, provides responsible alcohol service, and helps create memorable guest experiences while maintaining an organized station and following food safety, sanitation, safety, and uniform standards. Servers may be cross-trained as Server Assistants and rotated into that position during busy periods.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
Meet applicable legal minimum-age requirements for serving food and alcohol.
Remain calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere.
Demonstrate organization, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency.
Display a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests.

Responsibilities

Take guests’ orders and run food.
Handle cash and other forms of payment, and complete sales transactions using a point-of-sale system.
Check identification for guests who appear to be under 30.
Demonstrate responsible alcohol service and strong product knowledge.
Use suggestive-selling techniques.
Answer guest questions accurately and politely.
Regularly check back with guests and satisfy their needs.
Maintain a clean and organized station, including pre-bussing and table maintenance.
Perform opening, closing, and side duties, including setting up and breaking down the station, refilling condiments, and cleaning ashtrays.
Know table and station numbers and direct guests to areas and restrooms.
Create memorable experiences and entertain guests.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and general safety procedures.
Maintain a well-groomed appearance, follow uniform guidelines, and recycle products where possible.
