The Outdoor Customer Service Representative (Outdoor CSR) will assist customers and vendors in the Landscape Supply Yard with professionalism and care, involving tasks such as loading materials, educating customers on products, operating equipment, and managing inventory. The role is physical, fast-paced, and requires a dependable, alert individual willing to serve with excellence, take pride in doing things the right way, work well with others, and see every task as an opportunity to serve well. The position reports directly to the Lead Outdoor CSR and works with a committed crew.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License (to be able to operate equipment).
• Ability to work in various weather conditions with exposure to heat, cold, wind, and rain.
• Ability to speak professional working English.
• Able to perform physical requirements of the job, including prolonged physical exertion, standing, reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling.
• Able to handle objects of unique shape and size and weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day, and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Able to be trained on operating equipment, including forklifts, small loaders, and heavy loaders.

Responsibilities

• Helping customers in the Landscape Supply Yard by finding the right type of stone, picking materials from high shelves, or offering guidance on products.
• Safely loading customer vehicles and company delivery trucks with materials that do not require equipment operation.
• Bagging and loading landscaping materials like rock, sand, and mulch.
• Performing quick equipment checks before rentals go out and instructing customers on safe usage.
• Sharing knowledge about products and services, including bulk materials, hardscape, sod, and artificial turf.
• Maintaining a safe, clean work environment, prioritizing safety for oneself, coworkers, and customers.
• Monitoring stock levels and alerting the team when inventory is low.
• Assisting with daily deliveries by prepping loads and safely operating equipment (if trained).
• Supporting the Recycling Yard when needed by directing customers, helping unload materials, or identifying restricted items.
• Staying organized by keeping bunkered materials tidy and cleaning the yard and surrounding areas.
