This specific role, Outdoor Customer Service Representative (Outdoor CSR), involves assisting customers and vendors in the Landscape Supply Yard. Responsibilities include loading materials, educating customers on products and services, operating equipment, and managing inventory. The position is described as physical and fast-paced, requiring a dependable, alert individual willing to serve with excellence. The ideal candidate takes pride in doing things correctly, works well with others, and views every task as an opportunity to serve. The Outdoor CSR reports directly to the Lead Outdoor CSR and collaborates with a team committed to high-quality work and mutual success.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain).
• Ability to speak professional working English.
• Able to perform physical requirements: prolonged physical exertion, standing, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling.
• Able to handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Able to be trained on operating equipment, including forklifts, small loaders, and heavy loaders.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating forklifts or small wheel loaders.
• Experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Helping customers in the Landscape Supply Yard by finding products, picking materials, and offering guidance.
• Safely loading customer vehicles and company delivery trucks with materials that do not require equipment operation.
• Bagging and loading landscaping materials such as rock, sand, and mulch.
• Performing quick equipment checks before rentals and instructing customers on safe usage.
• Sharing knowledge about products and services, including bulk materials, hardscape, sod, and artificial turf.
• Prioritizing safety for oneself, coworkers, customers, and the surrounding property.
• Monitoring stock levels and notifying the team when inventory is low.
• Assisting with daily deliveries by prepping loads and operating equipment (if trained).
• Supporting the Recycling Yard by directing customers, assisting with unloading, and identifying restricted items.
• Maintaining organization by keeping bunkered materials tidy and cleaning the yard and surrounding areas.
