About The Position

The Outbound Team Lead provides daily leadership, direction, and support to packing associates, line feeders, and stackers. The role maintains a safe, organized, clean, and efficient operation, identifies and analyzes problems, and implements corrective actions to improve performance. The Team Lead assigns crew duties, directs workflow, and ensures employees follow safe work methods and food safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 2 years of extensive produce knowledge or related industry experience.
• General understanding of processing procedures in a high-volume warehouse or production facility.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
• Ability to manually move 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to bend, stoop, push, and pull.
• Ability to stand and walk constantly for periods exceeding eight hours.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with line supervisors and management to assign appropriate work priorities and communicate and address issues efficiently.
• Assign crew members to specific duties to maximize departmental efficiency.
• Ensure the crew works safely and efficiently as a team.
• Correct employees who do not follow preferred work methods or work safely.
• Ensure HACCP and other food safety guidelines are followed at all times.
• Independently assign crew duties and direct workflow while ensuring safe practices and compliance with work methods and food safety procedures.
• Assign work priorities to meet customer demands with review and approval from other individuals or supervisors.
