About The Position

The Outbound Team Lead provides daily leadership, direction, and support to packing associates, line feeders, and stackers. The role is responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, clean, and efficient operation; proactively identifying and analyzing problems; and implementing appropriate corrective actions to improve performance. The Team Lead assigns crew members to duties to maximize departmental efficiency, ensures the crew works safely and effectively as a team, and coordinates with other line supervisors and management to communicate and address issues and work priorities. The role also ensures compliance with preferred work methods, hazard analysis and critical control point (HACCP) requirements, and other food safety guidelines. Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Two years of extensive produce knowledge or experience in a related industry.
General understanding of processing procedures in a high-volume warehouse or production facility.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
Able to manually move 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Able to bend, stoop, push, and pull.
Able to stand and walk constantly for periods exceeding eight hours.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual ability in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work with other line supervisors and management to assign appropriate work priorities and efficiently communicate and address issues.
Assign crew members to specific duties to maximize departmental efficiency.
Ensure the crew works safely and efficiently as a team.
Correct work that does not follow preferred methods or is performed unsafely.
Ensure HACCP and other food safety guidelines are followed at all times.
Assign duties and direct workflow independently while assigning work priorities to meet customer demands with review and approval from others.
