About The Position

SOLV Energy’s Operational Technology Solutions (OTS) division provides OT solutions focused on maximizing energy production at utility-scale renewable generation plants. The OTS Materials & Contracting Operations Lead is responsible for OTS procurement activities, integrator contracting, and production oversight. This role is based full time in SOLV Energy’s office in Bend, Oregon; specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process. The position supports estimating, procurement, contracting, materials management, and equipment production across active OTS projects. It coordinates with OTS project and pre-construction managers, SCADA design personnel, integrators, MET vendors, suppliers, and finance teams to keep project materials and services within budget and on schedule.

Requirements

At least 3 to 4 years of utility-scale solar SCADA industry experience, including demonstrated experience in procurement, contracting, or materials management specific to SCADA systems.
Experience forecasting and purchasing SCADA-related materials and services.
Cost tracking and budget management experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Power BI.
Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, P6, or Smartsheet.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Assist with reviews of outgoing estimates and update equipment information in the estimating tool as needed.
Review and update equipment pricing in the estimating tool quarterly.
Send requests for proposals to integrators and MET vendors, compare proposals with project bids, and confirm proposals are within budget.
Work with the OTS Project Development Manager to select integrators and MET vendors for each project.
Oversee subcontracting for integrators and MET vendors on active projects.
Contract SCADA design drafters and third-party SCADA vendors for applicable active projects.
Negotiate third-party SCADA provider liquidated damages caps and communicate them to the OTS Pre-Construction Project Manager for inclusion in the prime EPC contract.
Maintain the master bill of materials in the estimating tool and build project bills of materials at project kickoff.
Participate in pre-design bill-of-materials reviews with assigned project and pre-construction managers and the assigned SCADA Design Engineer.
Determine equipment lead times and establish ordering deadlines to meet desired on-site dates.
Maintain the datasheet repository with current equipment information from the master bill of materials.
Build and maintain relationships with material vendors and suppliers, seek competitive equipment pricing, and maintain a vendor contact list.
Order project equipment and ensure timely delivery to integrators; place ad hoc site orders as directed by the OTS Project Manager.
Order MET switches as applicable for SCADA projects managed by SOLV OTS.
Maintain production schedules with integrators and ensure equipment builds meet target timelines.
Hold bi-weekly meetings with each integrator to communicate project updates and participate in weekly meetings with OTS project managers to provide production updates and gather feedback.
Participate in SOW and exhibit reviews as requested by the OTS Pre-Construction Project Manager.
Manage the OTS Cradlepoint (NetCloud), AT&T/Verizon, and Starlink accounts, ensuring services are available for deployments and unused service lines are terminated.
Work monthly with accounting and finance to update the Inventory Materials report.
