About The Position

SOLV Energy’s Operational Technology Solutions (OTS) division provides operational technology solutions for utility-scale renewable generation plants. The OTS Materials & Contracting Operations Lead is responsible for OTS procurement activities, integrator contracting, and production oversight. The role is based full time in SOLV Energy’s Bend, Oregon office; specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process. The position supports estimating and project delivery by maintaining equipment pricing and the master bill of materials, sourcing and purchasing project equipment, contracting integrators and other vendors, and coordinating production schedules and equipment delivery. It also manages OTS communications and service accounts and works with accounting and finance on monthly inventory reporting.

Requirements

At least 3 to 4 years of utility-scale solar SCADA industry experience.
Demonstrated experience in procurement, contracting, or materials management specific to SCADA systems.
Experience forecasting and purchasing SCADA-related materials and services.
Experience with cost tracking and budget management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Power BI.
Experience using project management tools such as MS Project, P6, or Smartsheet.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.

A college degree is preferred but not required; related work experience can offset a college degree.

Responsibilities

Assist with reviews of outgoing estimates as needed.
Update equipment in the estimating tool and review equipment pricing quarterly.
Send requests for proposals to integrators and MET vendors, compare proposals with project bids, and ensure proposals are within budget.
Work with the OTS Project Development Manager to select an integrator and MET vendor for each project.
Oversee subcontracting for integrators and MET vendors on active projects.
Contract SCADA design drafters and third-party SCADA vendors for applicable active projects.
Negotiate and communicate third-party SCADA provider liquidated damages caps to the OTS Pre-Construction Project Manager for inclusion in the prime EPC contract.
Maintain the master bill of materials in the estimating tool and build project BOMs at project kickoff.
Participate in pre-design BOM review meetings with assigned project and pre-construction managers and the SCADA Design Engineer.
Determine equipment lead times and ordering deadlines to meet required on-site dates.
Maintain the datasheet repository with current equipment information and maintain relationships with material vendors and suppliers.
Seek competitive pricing, maintain a vendor contact list, order project equipment, and ensure timely delivery to integrators.
Place ad hoc equipment orders for delivery to project sites as directed by the OTS Project Manager and order MET switches for applicable SCADA projects.
Maintain production schedules with integrators and monitor equipment build progress.
Run biweekly meetings with each integrator to communicate project updates and participate in weekly OTS PM meetings to share production updates and gather feedback.
Participate in SOW and exhibit reviews as requested by the OTS Pre-Construction Project Manager.
Manage the OTS Cradlepoint (NetCloud) account and ensure devices are operational for project deployments.
Manage OTS AT&T, Verizon, and Starlink accounts, establishing required service lines and terminating unused lines.
Work with accounting and finance monthly to update the Inventory Materials report.
