About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for an Orthopedic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Sandy Springs, GA. The role is in an outpatient setting, focusing on clinical duties only. The coverage period is from July 22, 2026, to October 30, 2026. The typical shift schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The reason for coverage is supplemental. The average daily patient volume is 21, with a case mix including Hand, Joints, and Sports conditions. The facility uses the Epic EMR system. Hospital privileges are not required.
Requirements
- Board Eligible
- Licensed in GA
- BLS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive orthopedic care for hand, joint, and sports-related conditions in an outpatient setting
- Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and perform follow-up evaluations
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in Epic EMR
- Adhere to facility policies, protocols, and quality standards while delivering patient-centered care
